I am currently running WP2.6.1. What I would like to do is the following (sorry for extracting the text verbatim from your plugin page as I found it difficult to explain otherwise) and the filoso plugin seems to be what I am looking for:

Something else you might want to do is make a sub-directory of your site, say “blog,” to be the home of your blog entries, while allowing other pages to be on the same level (or higher) as that of the blog directory. For example, in addition to http://www.example.com/blog, you might want something like http://www.example.com/about or http://www.example.com/my_pet_frogs. (Normally, if the blog resides in http://www.example.com/blog, pages would be under that directory, so that you would have http://www.example.com/blog/about instead of http://www.example.com/about.)

However, you had the remark that this functionality is in-built for WP2.1 and above? Can you please elaborate on how I might do it without your plugin? Thanks!!
